Ok, I think this is something that some of you are gonna love and some of you are gonna hate, or not understand at least, and I am good with that! This was written as a poem, a delve in to my own feelings after a rough few years! Originally I was going to record it just as a spoken word piece, but struggled to get it sounding how I heard it in my head, so started adding sounds, instruments, wrote a chorus to break it up a bit and then just carried on adding layers until the final result…

It’s been an interesting project, a different way to use my voice, different ways of looking at writing and production as a whole and to be honest it’s been quite cathartic to get some of those thoughts out of my head… as a songwriter I usually try to write with some ambiguity so that the listener can find their own meanings, but with this, I kind of say it how I feel it…

The feedback given by the few people that have heard this has been largely positive… I have ummm’d and ahhh’d over whether I should release this, so thanks to those few who have offered their thoughts, for helping me make my mind up on that!

The strings on this are actually my acoustic with the Pickaso Guitar Bow, which is a lot of fun to play with and although I have some way to go in learning to play it properly, it was a great addition to this track!

I hope you enjoy what you hear and if you don’t like it, then look out for the next song we are working on called “More To Us” which will be a return to something more like you’d expect! Normal programming will resume! 😂🤘🏻
